Pineapple and Pearls Will Have a $250 Price Tag Per Person

This is Aaron Silverman’s new restaurant

Pineapple and Pearls, the upcoming restaurant from the Rose’s Luxury team, may take reservations, but that convenience will come at a cost: the price tag for dinner will be $250 per person.

The Washington Post reports diners will pay half of the price tag upfront, and the other half the morning of the reservation. The restaurant will have a ticket system and the fee will include everything: tip, taxes, drinks, etc. Cancellations will be refunded as long as they are made within 72 hours. There will be 7-10 courses served, plus drinks.

The price tag will make Pineapple and Pearl’s the second-most expensive restaurant in D.C. at face value (but other high-priced tasting menus in D.C. do not include pairings, meaning they could reach similar heights); Chef José Andrés’ minibar has a price of $275 per person that does not include pairings. Ticketed restaurant reservations are rare in D.C., but upcoming restaurant The Shaw Bijou plans to have one (price will be upwards of $150 per person).
