What’s Your Go-To Georgetown Restaurant?

The neighborhood is changing.

As part of my job, I get asked for restaurant recommendations almost daily from readers, friends, colleagues, etc. One of the most frequent questions I get: “Where should I go to eat in Georgetown?”

Honestly, it isn’t my favorite question. Georgetown isn’t a neighborhood I tend to spend a lot of time in. Some of the best places (Bourbon Steak, Fiola Mare) are very, very expensive. A lot of my affordable mainstays (say, Pizzeria Paradiso) don’t feel like fresh suggestions since they’ve been around for awhile.

That’s why I’ve been excited to see more new, mid-priced restaurants open in the neighborhood over the past year or so, from Chez Billy to Chaia Tacos. We highlighted the newest of these in a story today.
